Our puppies are born in our home, where we can sleep with them for the first several weeks. We have enjoyed
this as the whelping area, as we can always hear and keep a close eye on mommy and puppies. From the
day they are born, the puppies are lovingly cared for by our family of eight. It is very important to me that the
pups are well socialize and accustom to the noises of a household. They spend most of their time before
coming to your home, in the house with the family.
We take pups in and out after 5 1/2 - 6 weeks old. It is important for a puppy to learn where to do its business,
and they will be well on their way to potty training when they arrive home. Goldens are very intelligent and
easily trained. You should plan for about 2 weeks of consistent potty training...although it may not take this
long. House training (knowing what is his/hers and what is not) will take a little longer. Your consistency is the
key to any training with your new puppy. The Canine Good Citizen is the best resource we can
recommend to help guide you through your first months at home with your new family member.
The puppies see the vet for a thorough examination before coming to your home. We allow visitors before
pups are born and then again after pups are 6 weeks old. For the health of mother and puppies, absolutely
NO visitors are allowed before the puppies' six week vet visit & immunization. Pick up Puppies go home at 7
weeks of age. Shipping Puppies go home at 8 weeks old. Special arrangements for boarding longer can be
made if needed. A non-refundable $300 deposit with complete family questionnaire will put you on the waiting
list for a puppy that is not yet born. We accept a check for the deposit, which should be made out to Tricia
Ashley. After pups are born, half of the remaining balance is due to hold your choice of litter/sex of puppy.
This deposit is refundable if we cannot provide you the sex & litter you have requested with your deposit. This
is your "earnest money" and taken as a commitment to your puppy which is non-refundable. Our puppies are
$1200 for pet homes. Pet priced puppies will receive AKC registration noted for a pet home, not registered for
breeding. I will ship your puppy within the US. Shipping rates are $375 for total shipping expenses unless
otherwise stated. This includes airline required Vet certificate, Crate, and the flight costs. If you need to leave
your puppy longer than the pick up date, the $15 boarding charge for each day can be paid at pick up or
before shipping. Arrangements should be made ahead, as this service is not always available.
Whichever breeder you choose, I recommend picking the breeder that you are comfortable with and doggie
parents that you would like a puppy from and waiting on the puppy. This puppy will be a member of your
