Trish, July 2007
I just wanted to take time to finally write to thank you for the
wonderful addition to our family. We received our lovely
little guy from you last November and he has turned out to
be such a joy to myself and especially my 5 year old son.
I'm a single mom and was worried my son would be lonely
not having a sibling so I prayed for an answer and then my
friend came to me about your dogs. What luck! The two of
them are inseparable. They love each other dearly. He
has brought more joy and belly laughs to our little family
than I can tell you. This dog has actually made us a true
family. He is so kind and sweet and my son is always so
proud when people stop him on our outings to say what a
beautiful and well behaved dog he is.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Merry Christmas Ashley Family! Dec. 2004
"Fletcher" as we call him ("Buddy") is doing great. He
has such a gentle and loving spirit and is a wonderful
match for our family. We all adore him. He sleeps in a
crate in the kitchen every night. He house-trained in
less than 2 weeks . . . only 2 minor accidents. And in
obedience class, he is a real * ! What more could we
have wanted? Thanks for your part in adding this dear
and special member to our family.

Tricia, Nov. 2005 Our pup,
Bear, is now 6 mos old and I wanted to let you know how very much we love
him. He has been so gentle with the kids (and patient!) and is so loving and fun.
We have taken him through a puppy class and he learns very quickly (made the
other dogs look bad). I don't think a night goes by that A and I don't look at
each other and comment that "we've got a good dog!" What I love about Bear's
personality is that he is such a people dog. We go on long walks every morning
with a bunch of other moms and dogs. Even though he has many dog friends,
he always has to greet the other humans before he goes off to play with the
other dogs. He already has quite the fan club in the neighborhood.
Anyway, I wanted to let you know how very pleased we are. Thanks for
everything. We have highly recommended your pups to anyone who asks!

Hi J, Nov. 2005
My puppy Hurricane is absolutely fabulous!
He is seven months old now. No health
concerns at all. He has the best
temperament. He is not at all hyper and
loves to play. It took about 2 1/2 months to
get him fully potty trained. We don't even use
the crate anymore. He barks when he wants
to go outside. We took puppy kindergarten
classes for 6 weeks and he was the star of
the class. We will start conformation classes
in January. We get compliments on how
beautiful he is from the vet and the groomer I
use when I'm too lazy to groom him myself.
We have three small children ages 6, 4, and
2 so it was very important to have a puppy
with a great temperament. Tricia is
awesome. I know buying over the internet is
a little scary but you've definitely found a good
breeder. I looked for two months before I
decided on Heritage Rock.

We love our Gracie whose parents were
Teddy and Goldie. She is very lovable and
has a fabulous temperament. Gracie is now
8 months old and, as is common in the
Golden breed, she is full of spunk and can
be quite mischievous but she is obedient
and a joy. Of all the Goldens we've had,
Gracie is the most lovable. We only have
girls who, I don't think , show their affection
like boy dogs but Gracie is very affectionate.
The Ashley's are wonderful folks who lovingly
care for their dogs. When we drove from
Atlanta to NC to pick up Gracie, I was greatly
impressed with how Tricia handled the adult
dogs. She would correct them with a loving
low voice and all the adult dogs seemed very
happy and secure in their home, as did all
the precious little pups. I think the fact that
Tricia's children play with and love the
puppies really helps. In the future, I hope to
have another of the Ashley's dogs. You will
not go wrong!
Gracie is our love. She and Pearl
sometimes sleep with us (they are up and
down off the bed during the night) and Pearl
will be at my feet and Gracie usually lies real
close to my or J's back. She is precious!

Two letters written from our Golden families in response to
a reference request from prospective puppy buyers:
Dear Jim and Tricia, Nov 2006
We are so pleased with our puppy Samantha (Sam).
She is exactly what you said. She is so sweet and
well behaved. People that meet her cannot believe
how calm and attentive she is. Sam is always
wagging her tail and ready to be loved or played
with. She has adapted to her new family great and
we are having so much fun with her. She is great
with my two kids and loves to run and play soccer
with them. She is also so good with our other dog
(9 year old Sheltie). Sam really respects her space
and they play nicely together.
Sincerely, JG Maryland
Hi Tricia & family, January 2006
Just a note to say hi and thank you for our wonderful golden.
Mr. Dusty is now 8 1/2 months old and the love of our lives!!
He is a happy, healthy and VERY good looking dog too! Just a
joy to be with. Also somewhat of a dog hero. We have a
neighbor who over a year ago adopted a rescue dog that was
probably abused as she is still frightened of people, even the
kind treatment she receives from her family is scary to her.
We decided to put Dusty out in the yard with her and the
transformation has been amazing! She "Scout" loves him and
has warmed up considerably to people thanks to Dusty's
lead. She will now come up to me (when alone) just because
she thinks she gets to see Dusty. A dog that would freeze
outside all night rather than come inside with people is now
doing great! All that Golden touch!
We are looking forward to adding one of your future puppies to
our family, maybe the end of this year. Your website is great.
The kids are just as cute as can be!! Take care and hope to
see you later this year!

Dear Tricia, April 2005
I hope you and your family are doing well.
Although this note is long overdue, I wanted
to write and let you know how well Bear is
doing.
He is a delightful, fun-loving puppy and is
definitely our son's dog! They spend all their
available time together, playing and just
following each other around. Bear is
stunningly beautiful and loves all of the
attention and compliments he receives on our
walks.
He potty trained pretty quickly after we
brought him home - thanks to you! He
generally has enough toys to play with so he
really hasn't caused too much trouble. He's
fond of pulling loops out of the bath mat, but
that's about the worst of it.
Thank you so much for taking such good care
of him for us!

Here are some pictures of Harper. We LOVE her!
She is doing very well. She has lots of energy and so
much personality that sometimes I forget that she's a
dog. She loves being outside, and can't stand to be
away from us (or people in general). As you can see
from the picture, she loves anything having to do with
water, especially sprinklers! She loves getting out of
the boat and swimming around. The neighborhood
kids really like her, sometimes they stop by just to say
hi to her.
We absolutely love her and are so glad that we found
out about Heritage Rock!

Hi Tricia,
June 2006
My husband and I picked up a puppy from you
back in September prior to moving to
Charlotte, NC. We passed your neck of the
woods today on our way back from being away
and thought we might send you a few pictures
of him and let you know he's been a GREAT
dog! He's a lot of fun and doing really well.
We can't go anywhere without someone
stopping us and asking where we got him and
commenting on how pretty and well behaved
he is.
Thanks again.

Tricia,
Teddy is absolutely the sweetest puppy
I've ever had. He is easy going, calm,
friendly, obedient, and just the cutest
playful roly poly puppy. The kids adore
him, and I am in love. Thanks for your
"gut feeling" and your honesty. I'm so
glad it worked out this way. He's all
settled in and quite comfy in his home.
Sleeping from 10:30 pm through to 7
am - what a big guy! He's a chewing
machine, but he's fine as long as he's
watched.
I'll keep in touch. I will recommend you
to anyone I know looking for a golden.
Thanks again,
HB New Jersey
p.s. he has brought joy and nonstop
laughter to us all. xoxo

him..
He is 4 months old today.. and can SIT very
fast on command... and "give me five" with
his right paw... a HIGH FIVE, I might add :0
He always comes when I call him.. and is
just a love!!! I have to kiss him all the time..!!
I feel so blessed to have gotten him.. after
waiting many years to find a new male..
God Bless...

Tricia,
Your tip about the cheerio treat may end up making them the
best trained pups we've ever had! They already sit at the
"treat" command and will also come running (great TIP!!! -
minimal sugar intake for maximal result!)
As a 2007 New Year "thank you", we congratulate you on
breeding two of the most delightful and promising pups that
we have had the pleasure of owning (after living with almost
thirty dogs - between us - during the course of our lives). Keep
up the good work and we hope that we can stay in touch.
Sincerely,
TMD Virginia
Hi Tricia,
I just want to let you know what a first rate puppy "Shadow"
is and how much we are enjoying him. Everywhere I go
people ask me where I got him from --- even my vet!! I don't
know if you've received calls but I wouldn't be surprised. I
just can't say enough about what a great dog he is and it is
obvious he had fantastic breeding. Thank you so much!

Hello Ashley Family!
It's been about 5 months since we
picked Murphy up, and it's been nothing
but wonderful. He is a delight every day.
He has given us no problems since we
brought him home, and it's wonderful
waking up and coming home to such a
beautiful puppy. He's full of life, full of
energy, and full of spunk. We are always
getting compliments on our
"well-behaved dog" when we take him
out. If I could describe him in one word...
it would be "lovey". He is always nearby,
and at about 80 lbs, he still thinks he's a
lap dog! Loves to give hus, curl up on
your feet while you're trying to make
dinner, and is famous for his wet kisses.
I couldn't be happier with our decision to
get a golden from you. Thank you so
much!!!

Dear Tricia and family, Feb 2007
I just wanted to send you an update on our beloved pal, He joined our family
in July of 2005. He was from a litter out of Teddy. We asked for a laid back
male with a calm disposition and we got exactly what we asked for. Not only
is he a beautiful dog and people tell us this wherever we go, but he is so laid
back and gentle. He is becoming the perfect companion for our daughter
now only seven months. They just love each other. Henry is so well behaved,
he never needed formal training beyond puppy kindergarten. Our friends and
neighbors are always telling us how amazed they are at how well behaved he
is. My husband and I joke between each other that Henry is our true first born.
He has an adorable personality and is every bit a member of the family. His
favorite things are naps on the couch (preferably on his back), a good game of
fetch with a stick, swimming, a long walk, and kisses. We jsut wanted to thank
you and send you some pictures so you could see how Henry has been
spending his days.
Thank you again,
KEAH

Dear Ashley Family, March 2007
We were so blessed to be able to make a road trip this summer to your
home. One of the best parts was meeting you. We loved Teddy and
Geny. They are as lovely in person as they are in cyber space...
Our Lace is a delight. She is beautiful, correct, and healthy. Her coat is
outstanding and her personality is impressing everyone where ever we
go.
She has energy bit it is tempered with obedience which, as anyone with
tell you, makes for a great combination. There is one thing that Lace
does that concerns us. She will NOT leave our side even to play with
other dogs. She loves to play but loves her people! You warned me
Tricia. Your words ring true. "YOU WILL NEVER FIND A MORE LOYAL
FRIEND THAN THESE PUPS. HANG IN THERE WITH THE TRAINING!"
Thanks for our little DOLL BABY!.... TEXAS
Hi Tricia, July 2007
I just thought I would send you a picture and
update of our puppy. He is doing great he is
so well behaved it makes the puppy stage
seem easy. He is seven months now and
the best dog. When he wants your attention
he will sit in front of you and give you his paw.
We love him to death and couldn't be happier
with him. One of my favorite things about him
is he is so loyal and will just hang out with
me no matter where we go, and he always
stays right by my side, and teaching him to
walk on a leash was a breeze he already
knew what his was doing. I truely believe you
pay for what you get and titus by far is a better
dog than any other I have owned. He is doing
great and is having a blast out here. He loves
to chase a ball and lay in our little pond.
Thanks again for the great dog, HB Utah
